The girls are way outnumbered in our house. It’s the 3 of us against a whole lot of boys. So we do all we can to stick together. That’s myself, my daughter, and BC. She’s our cat. We’re a pretty tight group around here.
Starting from when our cat was a kitten, she’s always taken to my daughter. Abby has been able to do whatever she wants with very few consequences. The boys would never get away with half the things that Abby does. But that’s her girl, through thick and thin. They’re buddies. They’re sisters. As close as Abby’s going to get, anyway.
Then to now. They may have grown bigger, but some things never change. They’re both my girls and our cat is a cherished part of this family. She makes me laugh, she cuddles with us when needed, and she looks out for her human sister. Thus, I want to make sure they’re both treated right. For our cat, we do that by going from bored to Smargasbord with Meow Mix® Simple ServingsTM Wet Cat Food at Meijer.
Our cat loves when we feed her Meow Mix products, because Meow Mix cat food has the perfect mix of real poultry and seafood flavors. There’s plenty of options, too, to keep her happy. With dry food, wet food, and treats all easy to find at Meijer.
On our latest shopping trip to Meijer, we picked up a bag of Meow Mix Original Choice Dry Cat Food, 2 packs of Meow Mix Simple Servings Wet Cat Food, and Meow Mix Brushing Bites Treats.
We usually feed her dry food, so wet food is like a treat for her. I love that with Meow Mix Simple Servings there’s no mess and no leftovers.
I think she’s satisfied. And one happy cat. That is the real cat’s meow.
As a rather amusing member of our family, BC is also an inspiration for holidays and daily crafting. We’ve made a Paper Plate Cat Craft in her likeness before. Now, with Valentine’s Day coming up, we decided to include her in a fun Cat’s Meow Pop Up Paper Card idea.
For our Cat’s Meow Pop Up Paper Card, you will need a need a sheet of cardstock, as well as sheets of construction paper in the colors of your choice. Our BC is black and white, so we chose black and white paper. We also made a cute cat with orange, brown, and white paper, too.
You will also need a small cup to make the circle template. Scissors, a pen, a glue stick, and calligraphy markers round off the list of supplies.
- construction paper, choice of colors and pink
- black pen
First, stack 3 sheets of construction paper in your choice of cat colors on top of one another. Trace the rim of a small cup and cut out 4 sets of 3 circles each so you end up with a total of 12 circles.
Fold your sheet of cardstock in half. Fold the circles of paper in half and glue one side to one side of the cardstock, right along the folded line. Continue with 4 more circles. Do the same to the other side, then glue both sides together.
Take one of the 2 leftover circles and cut the top so there are 2 pointy ears. If you can, lift the glued circles slightly to glue under. If the glue is dry already, simply glue above.
Cut a tail and feet shapes out of the other remaining circle. Also cut two small circles for eyes. With a pen, draw a mouth, whiskers, and color in dots for the eyes. Cut two small triangles out of the pink paper and a rounded triangle for the nose. Glue all in place.
Finish off with a sweet message letting the recipient know they’re the Cat’s Meow. It’s such a cute Valentine’s Day card and inspired by one of my 3 favorite girls.
