Less a craft and more just a new way to create fun fall tree pictures, our PomPom Fall Tree Art Process uses cotton poms and clothespins to make the leaves of a fall tree in the bright and beautiful colors of the season. Just dab the poms full of paint around a tree drawn and colored in brown marker.
With very few supplies needed and lots of color, this is a great open-ended art project that kids will have a lot of fun with! Hang the finished pieces around the house or in their room to show off their artwork and decorate for the season. And, it’s a great way to learn about the colors of fall, too!
- white paper – thicker to hold up to paint!
- brown marker
- Pom Poms
- Clothes Pins
- Paint – fall colors, brown/red/orange/yellow
- Paper Plate
Draw or paint your brown tree shape.
Then, squirt fall paint colors around a paper plate. Attach a pom to a clothespin, one for each color so the colors don’t blend.
And let your little one paint the various Fall colored “leaves” using pom poms and clothespins to paint!
