Valentine’s Day is full of X’s and O’s and so is tic tac toe! With the help of conversation hearts, they both go together in our Tic Tac Toe Valentine’s Day Snack!
We all know the game of tic tac toe, I’m sure. It’s a childhood staple, as easy to play on a piece of paper as it is on a napkin and now, a piece of bread or toast.
The main “game board” for our Tic Tac Toe Valentine’s Day Snack is made from bread or toast. Then simply pipe your tic tac toe lines using a piping bag filled with creamy peanut butter.
Separate a bag of conversation hearts by color, one color for your game markers and one for your Valentine’s Day opponent. Then take turns placing your hearts. Try to get 3 of your hearts across, up and down, or diagonally. Tic tac toe!
Even a tie is a win as you got to spend time with your Valentine playing a fun game and you get to eat your game pieces when it’s all over! Send the pieces in your child’s lunch box and let them play with their friends, too!
- Bread or toast
- Creamy peanut butter
- Conversation hearts
- Decorating bag
- Fill your decorating bags halfway with creamy peanut butter and cut a small tip off the end.
- Layout your bread or toast and use your decorating bag of peanut butter to draw a tic-tac-toe board onto each slice of bread.
- Separate your conversation hearts into piles of two colors.
- Now you can play tic-tac-toe on each slice of bread or toast with the conversation hearts and eat the peanut butter bread after.
